Yes. Studies have found that online speech therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many children. Sessions are personalized to keep your child engaged and help them build skills they can use at home, at school, and in everyday life. We’ll also help you determine whether online therapy is the right fit for your child.

Speechly provides speech and language services for children and young adults from birth through age 21. Services are tailored to each child’s developmental level, individual needs, and ability to participate in virtual sessions. For infants and younger children, therapy may include caregiver coaching and practical strategies families can use at home.

Speechly is an approved Step Up for Students provider and works with select insurance plans. Coverage, eligibility, referrals, and authorization requirements vary by plan, so benefits are verified before services begin.

For families with out-of-network benefits, Speechly can provide a superbill to submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed, and families are encouraged to confirm their benefits directly with their insurance plan.

An evaluation may be needed before therapy begins. If your child recently completed an evaluation, we can review it to determine whether it provides the information needed to create an appropriate treatment plan.

Your child will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet place to participate. A computer or tablet is recommended for the best therapy experience. A parent or caregiver may need to assist depending on the child’s age and individual needs.
